About NTC
Teach. Entertain. Inspire.
Our Mission: To make a difference in the lives of K-12 students, parents, families and educators by using theatre to teach important societal issues.
We’ve believed in the power of live educational theatre since day one. Since 1978, The National Theatre for Children has brought free programs to schools across the country — and the results speak for themselves. Students have experienced our educational programs, walking away with new ideas, new inspiration and a genuine desire to make a positive impact.
Over the years, we’ve grown alongside our audiences. Today, our offerings go far beyond the stage — including digital games, graphic novels, student booklets, teacher toolkits, the Power Play classroom game and more. Whether it’s a superhero showdown against energy-wasting villains or a comedy sketch about financial literacy, every program is crafted to delight students while aligning with state educational standards and slipping effortlessly into your classroom routine.
