Conservation Cove
Grades K-5 | Water and Earth Science
Conservation Cove is a live, theatrical performance that teaches as it entertains, inspiring students to think about how their personal water-usage and everyday habits affect their community, and the world beyond. Two professional actors will visit your school, bringing everything they need to impress your students (and staff) with this unique educational experience. All you need to do is bring your students to the performance space, get them seated and let our performers do the rest.
There are two shows with differentiated content for your lower and upper grade levels:
Grades K-2
Our show for K-2 students features fun characters that appeal to younger students with plenty of opportunities for audience volunteers, and interaction with the performers. Basic information on water conservation, pollution and drought-related issues that affect California communities are presented in an engaging and kid-friendly way.
Grades 3-5
Our show for 3-5 students is presented in a structure similar to a program you might see at a science museum. Our performers use a more sophisticated, straightforward approach to present important water and Earth Science topics, but still engage your older students with an exciting performance with plenty of interaction and audience volunteer opportunities.

What Teachers are Saying
I thought this program did a great job of getting the kids involved and onstage. My students came back tot he classroom talking about ways they can save water. It made me even twice about how I can save water too!

Thank you so much for this opportunity. Many of my students did not know what a play was and have never been to one. I appreciate the humor in the play. The actors did great when the kids got too talkative by saying, “clap once if you can hear me”. Water conservation is something my students have never consider and this play planted a seed for them to start. Thank you!
