Once Upon A Flame
Grades K-5 | Natural Gas Conservation and Safety
Once Upon A Flame is an engaging, interactive performance that teaches students the importance of natural gas conservation and safety. Through humor, action and audience participation, two professional actor-educators guide students on an exciting adventure where they will learn how natural gas is used, how to conserve it and how to stay safe around it. The story follows a hero who, faced with the challenge of broken natural gas appliances, learns the value of using energy wisely while trying to stop a villain from wasting this precious resource.
Beyond the performance, students and teachers will receive an e-learning package that includes games, quizzes, and lesson plans designed to reinforce the key concepts introduced in the show. This package provides additional resources to help extend the learning experience and ensure that students understand how to be both energy-conscious and safe in their everyday lives.

What Teachers are Saying
The kids had a very good time. They were engaged, even as a teacher I was engaged. I like the visuals that goes along with the lesson as well. The presenter provided a recap for the kids, when I went back to my class kids shared most parts of the presentation. Getting the students involve was also an interactive and engaging idea. Loved the phrase- natural gas make it last!
