The Aqua League of Tarrant County
Grades K-5 | Water Conservation
The Aqua League of Tarrant County is an engaging performance that teaches students about the importance of water conservation. The City is in turmoil! Dewey Mistman, purveyor of parasols in a small umbrella shop, learns from his friend Chef Waverly the Gravy Maven how essential water is in our daily lives. Transforming into his alter ego, The Watercooler, he teams up with Wendy the Water Watcher and Thunderstorm from the Aqua League to discover where water comes from, how we all use it every day and how to conserve it — all while facing the challenge of stopping the mischievous Queen Dripella.
In addition to the live performance, students and teachers receive a classroom poster, printed student activity books, and access to an exclusive e-learning package. This package includes e-books, graphic novels, games, quizzes, and lesson plans, all designed to reinforce

What a wonderful program! Our Pre-K just finished up a 5 week study of water so this was the best culminating activity. I love how the materials that were send ahead of time were bilingual also. I have used them and will now send them home with the students. The only comment that I could make to improve upon the live show was to add a bilingual speaker to touch on the most important aspects of the show. Great Job and Thank you very much!!

Very well done! I have personally attended teacher training on our local water system. I was so excited that we were having the presentation at my school. The presentation was both fun and engaging! 2 days after the program, we were reading about lakes and rivers. My students remembered where we get our water from. We also have a sink in our classroom and a few students reminded others to turn off the water while they were scrubbing their hands. I love it! Thank you for all of your hard work.
