The Grin Prix

Delta Dental’s The Grin Prix is the latest installment in the Land of Smiles educational series. In this action-packed live performance, students join Captain Super Grin on a thrilling adventure across the Land of Smiles, where danger lurks in the form of Cazzidy Cavity, super-villain and mother of arch nemesis Caz Cavity.
Along the way, students discover the secrets of proper oral care, learn which foods help or harm their teeth, and find out why regular dentist visits are so important. The performance also touches on vision care, giving students a bonus lesson in looking out for their overall health. Students become part of the excitement, actively participating in the adventure, making the lessons around cavity prevention, eye care, and lifelong wellness exciting and unforgettable.

Through engaging sketches featuring a variety of entertaining characters, The Grin Prix teaches the following educational points:
- Students will learn why teeth are important to your overall health.
- There will be a focus on how to take care of your teeth.
- Demonstrations occur about how to brush and floss teeth properly.
- Students will be introduced to the importance of eating healthy foods and visiting the dentist.

Materials Included
Program Curriculum – Our oral health curriculum corresponds with the Land of Smiles® program and makes learning about oral health even more fun! Developed with input from teachers and school nurses, the curriculum provides lessons and activities to educate preschool students about good oral health habits. The Land of Smiles® program curriculum adheres to National Health Education Standards.
Smile Bags – Schools are given the option to also request smile bags for each child that participates in the program. A “smile bag” is an envelope that contains an individual toothbrush, toothpaste and container of dental floss to help students practice the good oral health habits they learn from the program. Smile bags will be shipped to the school only, not to residential addresses.
