The Grin Prix
Grades K-3 | Dental Health
Delta Dental’s The Grin Prix is a fun and engaging educational video for students in grades K-3. The race is on in the Land of Smiles, where Grand Marshal Captain Super Grin and special guest Terri Tooth Fairy are set to kick off the annual educational cross-country challenge, The Grin Prix. Suddenly, trouble strikes! With super-villain Caz Cavity out of town, his doubly villainous mother Cazzidy Cavity enters the race with one goal: to destroy it forever. Captain Super Grin has no choice but to enter the race himself and attempt to reach the finish line before his foe.
Along the way, students learn the importance of proper oral care, how to make healthy food choices to protect their teeth and boost their overall health, and why regular dentist visits matter. Students also receive a few bonus tips on vision care. Designed to make learning both entertaining and memorable, the video encourages students to adopt healthy habits that will last a lifetime.

Program Curriculum – Our oral health curriculum corresponds with the Land of Smiles® program and makes learning about oral health even more fun! Developed with input from teachers and school nurses, the curriculum provides lessons and activities to educate preschool students about good oral health habits. The Land of Smiles® program curriculum adheres to National Health Education Standards.
Smile Bags – Schools are given the option to also request smile bags for each child that participates in the program. A “smile bag” is an envelope that contains an individual toothbrush, toothpaste and container of dental floss to help students practice the good oral health habits they learn from the program.
